Half Marathon Here We Come!!!

Call me crazy, but it's time to do another half marathon. I thought it was a pretty good goal to do a half marathon around Caldwell's birthday.

Training hasn't been that bad (ok take out the hills and the long distance running on Saturday). Stacy and I have been running pretty consistently. We're going to be running 2 hours this weekend, it's been awhile since I've done that.

We picked out the Rock the Rock Half Marathon in lovely Las Vegas. I've never been, so it will be a good experience. I'll be staying with my aunt, uncle, and cousin who live there. Once we get there,we'll get the marathon done and then maybe catch a show or something. Who knows?!?

As I write this my legs are like jelly from running last night. We'll jelly on until next time. The goal is to finish!

Have a great week all!
Sweet Caldwell is teething pretty badly, when will this part ever end?!? I suppose it was time for me to pay the piper at some point, since 6 weeks old she was sleeping through the night. That was a blessing. Along with the teething has come runny noses, coughs, and yes...middle of the night wakings. Ugh!

It was weird waking up in the middle of the night again. Haven't done that in quite some time. Four teeth at once is tough for a little one!

Caldwell's first cousin came into our world last Monday! Baby Hamilton is quite a cutie! We can't wait for some future play dates and good cousin time!

Life just keeps changing and changing. Life is good.

We're here....

O.K., Caldwell and I think that it's just about time for us to get started with our own blog (Ben does too, he just doesn't know it yet). So here goes it....

Caldwell and I just got back from the Tourtelotte family reunion. I seriously didn't think that anyone could have a larger family gathering then the Caldwell's. I was certainly proven wrong. There were Tourtelottes, Carpenters, Waters, Brownells, Rolls, and much much more. People from L.A., Dallas, VA, GA, and everywhere. These folks are world travelers thinking nothing of heading out to France, Madrid, or Timbuktu on a whim. I simply could not keep up.

It was so much fun. I watched everyone as they caught up with friends called family that they haven't seen in the past two years or more. Everyone made me feel so welcomed and a part of the gang.

Caldwell was a hit! She did so well and absolutely LOVED the beach. She spent a good amount of time with her 5th cousin who is a month older than her. As soon as baby Quincy passed Caldwell they reached out for one another. No doubt with an expression of "we're in this thing together". It was really great to know you are a small part of something that is bigger than you and a good feeling knowing that when you marry someone you marry their family as well. I am blessed to be married to this family!

More blogging to come, be patient as I learn how I do all of this.....
